Wilmslow 6th Form May Ball, Hilton Hotel

Friday night saw us at the Hilton Hotel photographing the Wilmslow High School sixth formers leaving party. Assisted by fellow photographer, Leanie Welch we covered everything from the formal  to the informal.  Surrounded by what can only be described as the young and glamorous of Wilmslow, the party night was a vibrant and fun filled evening.
Thanks to all the students for their fun, sense of humour and sheer politeness to the photographers, even after a few drinks.  We wish you all the very best for your future!

Photographers in Manchester

Where does one start!  Shooting on the roof of the Point Studio in Manchester the photographers from the Lindow 10 & 11 took on the challenge to photograph four models balancing the evening light with studio flash.  Coping with high winds the models, Kimberley, Ali, Sarah and Anna gave each photographer these amazing results!

It is fantastic to see each year the group go from strength to strength producing  images that are better than the last.  They could be straight out of a high class glossy magazine. - and all for a £40 outlay!

Virtual tour photographer boldly going...Apollo 12

Yes you read it right, a virtual tour of Apollo 12 on the moon.  It's amazing the lengths that Weston Digital Imaging will go to create these high definition virtual tours!  This was an exercise in using the latest software to create a virtual tour from the images from Apollo 12 and make it look as realistic as possible, with sun flare and genuine radio transmissions. It has now been posted on Collect Ppace where you can view the tour yourself and read the feedback.

Studio training

The final images from Sam Carpenter are now in from the studio training session.  Working with and understanding professional flash in a studio or location separates the professional photographer from the amateur. If you ever hear a photographer say they 'only ever work with natural light' it just means they could never work in a studio and with studio flash.  Must be rubbish for them when it rains, which seems to be most of the time in the UK!
